This work was created for the release of the Barbie movie (2023) directed by Greta Gerwig. Vanessa had fun imagining what kind of work Barbie might have created, with a touch of Ken. The house in the film, inspired by the architecture of Palm Spring, was the source of creativity for this colorful work. The glitter around the edges is a nod to Barbie's glittery bed, seen in the film.
