Vanessa Studio Art takes a new direction. After much reflection, I've decided to stop producing "pouring" type works.
It's been five years since I started out as a painter, and I feel I've touched on all the techniques possible with this medium. Many new projects have emerged from those first canvases, such as the arrival of my derivative products, sales to retailers, and several enriching collaborations. These are all milestones that have taught me a lot and helped me navigate my way to this point.
Lately, I've been questioning my art, partly because it doesn't fit in with my values. Ecology and the future of our planet is a very important aspect for me, and to tell you the truth, the casting medium is not at all ecological... A lot of chemicals are needed to mix acrylics, and several paint containers are also involved, creating additional waste. A call to a more minimalist and sustainable technique was calling me.
Vanessa Studio Art takes a new direction towards an ecologically conscious type of sculptural art.
New works will be unveiled shortly!
